This program showcases the expressive power and virtuosity of Italian instrumental music during the 17th and early 18th centuries. Featuring works by inventive composers such as Isabella Leonarda, Biagio Marini, Marco Uccellini and Andrea Falconieri, the sounds of violin, recorder, viola da gamba and theorbo perform sonatas, canzonas and variations on La Folia.
